Middleburn cranks were first developed in 1991, since that time the crank has undergone many refinements; the latest incarnations, the RS-7, RS-8 and the brandnew X-type are the result of advanced 3D and stress modelling techniques and ensure that they are not only amongst the stiffest but also the lightest and strongest available.
The on-site manufacture allows to constantly examine and test each and every crank throughout its creation – a quality control that is second to none. All cranks are drop forged from high quality 7075 T6 aluminium, our CNC machining process then finely sculptures each crank arm into the unmistakable Middleburn shape.
Rohloff Square Crank
Square cranks are still not on the scrap heap. Especially for bike travelers with Rohloff hub, this proven technology undergoes great popularity. In combination with the durable, hard-coated chainrings, the square crank represents the ideal predestination for this very purpose.
- Standard handle sets are available in lengths of 170 and 175mm with 38, 40 and 42 teeth
- Optionally available with SKF inner bearing
Rohloff X-Type
The brand new RS8 X-type is of course available for the Rohloff and singlespeed use again. Forged and with a lifetime warranty against breakage, this crankset makes a good impression at each wheel.

- Optionally available with Trickstuff eccentrics
Gates Carbon Drive
The Gates Carbon Drive is becoming increasingly popular. Thus, it seems likely that a crank is used, which is comparably carefree as the drive itself. The fixed axle is almost perfectly suited for the belt drive.

- Optionally available with Chris King inner bearing
Derailleur Bolts
These derailleur bolts are equipped with a predetermined breaking point. Thus, in the event of a fall, neither these nor the derailleur hanger will be damaged.
Valve Caps
Give your bike the last touch by replacing the standard plastic with valve caps.
Cable Oiler
Without mounting, the lifetime of your cables can be extended through a lubrication cup.
Long Chainring Bolts
Middleburn chainring bolts are not only colourful, but also robust, since they are milled from 7075 T6.

Chainring bolts are available in two lengths and the perfect connection between the chainring and crank.
Crank Bolts
The crank bolts facilitate the maintenance of your bicycle by simple removing of the crank.
